Relay Race Checkup

They say that the only way to redemption is to first accept you have a problem. "Hi, name is Israel and I have an injured ankle" LOL..... There, I said it. Feel much better.

I decided to not run Thursday and Friday due to the swollen ankle.. I was originaly planning to not run till Sunday to make sure I got plenty of rest, but I woke up a bit worried today. I was thinking that if I rest all the way till tomorrow, I would put too much pressure on the left leg and injure it again or make it worse. The fact that I would test the ankle at a race rather than a regular run didn't seem like a good idea.

So, since I was home, I got a pair of boxer shorts and a shirt on and got on the TM. (BTW Joyce said that this was going to be her favorite outfit on me... Lol) sorry no pictures.. I decided to try the new Saucony ProGrid 8 shoes I got from my manager,, I was a bit iffy about doing this, but did it anyway... I know, I know. Not a good idea, but it turned out to be a good run.

My ankle started to acted up on the first minutes of the run, but got better way before the 1st mile. I thought I was going to have to stop on the first mile, but I felt great and kept going till mile 2. My pace was a constant 8:57-8:48.

I have to say that I am looking forward to tomorrow's race, and I am ready for it.. Woohoo. Let's see if I can finaly put some competition againts my dad.... Lol wait, shouldn't he be saying this? LMAO...
